Dr. Stewart received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. After completing a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, he received a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
As a researcher, Dr. Stewart has been a principal investigator in numerous studies on the treatment of open-angle glaucoma. He is the author of a medical text, Clinical Practice of Glaucoma (Slack, Inc, 1990), and is a contributing author to other ophthalmology texts. Dr. Stewart has published approximately 400 articles on the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma in leading medical journals. He has given over 320 invited lectures at worldwide medical forums in 35 countries.
In his role as Medical Director, Dr. Stewart brings the clinical skills and expertise
of a board-certified ophthalmologist to PRN.
Our Research Director began her career as a critical care oriented Registered Nurse. After switching her focus to ophthalmology, she began coordinating clinical trials in glaucoma. She subsequently developed two separate companies, Charleston Research Company, LLC and Atlanta Research Company, LLC, to provide complete site management services to ophthalmologists participating in clinical trials.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, Jeanette oversees and provides direction to the Project Management team. She has directed more than 50 research projects in the US, Australia, Canada, and throughout Europe. From her deep ophthalmic experience she has trained CRAs, clinical trial coordinators and site managers. She has published more than 50
scientific articles related to ophthalmology as well as presented at scientific
meetings and as an invited lecturer.
PRN maintains a global, overlapping network of professionals with deep ophthalmic experience. Although the Project Manager and Clinical Research Associates assigned to each project have at least 3 years experience, our typical team member has acquired their skillset over 14 years. PRN is proud of our professionals' record and commitment to complete every project! PRN plans overlapping coverage for unanticipated project changes.
For more than 10 years, Ms. Garvin has brought stability and continuity to the PRN workplace. With efficiency and dedication she provides general oversight to all projects, interacting with clients and contractor's alike. When not in the office Cindy likes to spend time hunting with her husband, or looking after her 6 year old granddaughter.
Mr. Adams brings years of experience in accounting and finance, for many years at DuPont Canada. After an early retirement from DuPont, he began a new career at PRN and recently celebrated 15 years of service managing our financial office. Roy serves on the Board of Directors for two missions. He loves traveling with his wife, but when home he’s often found working in his yard.
More likely than not, Ms. Westdyk is the person behind the pleasant voice that greets you when you call PRN. Although she brings great enthusiasm to her time in the office, Roxanne has many talents on display outside of the workplace as well. She is a Master Gardener and spends time creating unique crafts and gifts from recyclables.
Ms. Stennett spent her first career as a trusted book keeper in one of Charleston’s premier accounting firms. Now PRN benefits from Jo Beth’s quick smile and pleasant demeanor, as she efficiently and quietly works behind the scenes processing all things financial.
