PRN PHARMAFARM Financial Services

To help ophthalmic startups move new products through regulatory requirements, PRN PharmaFarm is pleased to offer five unique financial programs. To qualify for these programs, which are subject to the availability of capital, each applicant is subject to review and the results of due diligence and contract negotiations with PRN PharmaFarm. Please go to  prnpharmafarm.com for more information.

  • Internal Financing: PRN will reduce internal management fees for individual studies under a loan/equity arrangement. Depending on the study design, this program could reduce immediate costs by 10-40%. This would not reduce immediate costs for physician, contractor, patient and travel expense payments.
  • Doctor/Contractor Financing: PRN will make arrangements with select investigators and contractors to accept postponed payment under a loan/equity arrangement. This would not reduce immediate costs for patients and travel expense payments.
  • Angel Financing: Companies, under a loan/equity arrangement may apply for up to $1 million in funds for research and operations. This funding is generally intended to underwrite needed research results or support operations while waiting for the next series of capital venture funding.  Please go to prnpharmafarm.com for more information.
  • Angel Charities: This program, funded by private donations from charitable individuals, provides a low interest loan in amounts up to $200,000 for research and operations. The recipient is required to pay back the loan so that it can be lent again, thus establishing a perpetual charity to help qualified startups fight blindness. This funding is generally intended to underwrite needed research results or support operations while waiting for the next series of capital venture funding.
  • Intermediary Services: Dr. William Stewart will mediate to open initial discussions between a startup and a major pharmaceutical company for funding, license or purchase agreements. Because of his long history in ophthalmic research, Dr. Stewart can customize an approach for each client.
